Karl Marx Park
Karl Marx Park
Karl-Marx-Straße, the main artery road of Berlin’s hotspot Neukölln, is hardly planted with trees, in comparison to the rest of Berlin which is very green in general. In that street, the project ‘Karl Marx Park’ used a lonesome tree with a garbage can and three benches for its temporary inflatable structure – the flowerpot. The space is animated by compositions of Lorenzo Brusci and a performance of Marco Barotti, both using a vibrating pneumatic sound system. ‘Karl Marx Park’ is a project of plastique fantastique featuring Architettura Sonora – realized for the 10th artfestival ’48 Stunden Neukölln’.
